The Interview

Thank you for chatting with us today John.  You have a busy schedule with the ongoing tour this month.

What advice would you give to someone just starting?

Your company will have a system that has worked for their distributors. Follow that system as carefully as you can. Do not reinvent the wheel.

Mindset ties into everything. It affects all we do. I could get into great detail but it’s as simple as, “If you think you can, then you can”. Ask yourself constantly, What am I thinking about?”

If you were to sum up your advice in 3 words what would they be?

Those 3 words are ….. consistency ….. focus …… faith.

Consistency: If you are not consistent you are starting over all the time.

Focus: So many times life or our inability to resist that next hot deal get us off focus. To be a success you must stay focused.

Faith: Without faith you will never have the persistence to keep on keeping on.

If you asked for a fourth it would be belief. Always remember that people buy people. It’s your belief that will shine through.

How would you suggest people use your book?

First I would like to see “Right or Almost Right” used for inspiration. I want to inspire the reader to believe first in themselves, then in our incredible industry and then in their company. I shared my story so they can say, “If John can do it with his background, they I can do it.”

Then I want them to define how they do their business by using the “Rights vs Almost Rights” I outline in the book.

Then I would like to see them use the “Rights vs Almost Rights” as a blueprint with their team.
…………………………
What is the difference, the fine line between success and struggling, between making a little money and making a lot of money in network marketing?

The philosophy behind “Right or Almost Right” is very simple, as John says, “the small subtleties of how we do network marketing makes a huge difference between just making it and phenomenal success”.

As John travels he meets so many intelligent, hard-working network marketers who are struggling. They seem to be doing everything to be successful and still they meet with resistance and frustration. They ask “Why”. “Why am I not seeing the success I hear so much about”? “Right or Almost Right” is John’s way of pointing them in the right direction and getting them started on their own paths to success.

John teaches the basics of network marketing so people understand exactly what it takes to build their career from the foundation, proving with his own life that amazing results really are possible. Everything contained within the book relates to John’s own experience over his 25 year career of success as a network marketer. Readers can really rely on all of the information in the book as John himself is living proof that network marketing can change someone’s life and give them everything that will make their dreams come true.

John talks about the “Small Steps to the TOP” that are so critical to success. As John says, “It’s all small steps AND those steps are easy to take but they are just as easy not to take”.

One of the first things that amazed John when he first got into network marketing was that he was treated as an equal. Here he was mingling with leaders who were earning $10,000, $20,000 $50,000 a month and he was accepted. He soon found that network marketing is a level playing field where you can succeed regardless of your background, education, nationality, age or challenges. He became a huge believer in the importance of relationships. As John says, “Everyone counts”.

It was not long until John saw the incredible power of personal development and became a life-long listener to speakers such as Jim Rohn, Zig Ziglar and Earl Nightingale. They all taught that it’s what you become in the process.
