Fried Cabbage with Bacon

  • Ingredients
  • 6 to 8 pieces of bacon
  • 1 head cabbage
  • ¼ cup diced onion, optional
  • Salt and pepper
  • Instructions
  1. Chop cabbage into good sized pieces.
  2. Slice bacon into ½ inch pieces.
  3. Fry bacon on medium heat until nearly done.
  4. Drain off most of the fat at this point, if necessary.
  5. Add cabbage, a bit of salt and pepper, then cook until done, tossing to mix frequently.
  6. Serve hot.
