Mom's Sheet Cake Brownies

- ½ cup margarine
- ½ cup shortening
- 4 tbsp cocoa
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- Bring to boil margarine, shortening, cocoa and water in a sauce pan.
- In a mixing bowl mix sugar and flour; then add boiled ingredients and mix well.
- Then add sour milk, eggs, soda, salt, cinnamon, and vanilla; beat well. Sour milk is ½ cup milk and 1 tbsp. lemon juice mixed.
- Pour into large sheet cake pan.
- Bake at 350 for 25 minutes. Let cool.
- After cooled then make Cocoa Frosting. Follow recipe in making and cooling.
- Then frost cake. While frosting sets; put pan into refrigerator. It will set up better then just sitting on the counter. Do not cover the pan.
- Then cut and serve when ready.
- For leftover brownies - put into a container and either refrigerate or keep frozen.
