Serves: 24 cupcakes
Ingredients
  • 1 pkg chocolate cake mix
  • 1 pkg (3.9 oz) Jello Chocolate instant pudding
  • ⅓ cup Kool-aid orange flavor sugar sweetened drink mix
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 1 can 16 oz ready to spread white frosting
  • 24 Oreo cookies
  • 12 pieces black string licorice
  • 48 mini M & M pieces
Instructions
  1. Batter: Prepare cake mix batter as directed on package.
  2. Blend in dry pudding mix.
  3. Spoon into 24 paper lined muffin cups.
  4. Bake as directed on package at 350 for 25-30 minutes. Stick a toothpick in middle of one cupcake to make sure it comes out clean.
  5. Then cool completely.
  6. Frosting: Dissolve drink mix in 2 Tbsp water.
  7. Stir into frosting until well blended.
  8. Frost cupcakes.
  9. Reserve some of the frosting for attaching the Oreos and eyes.
  10. Decorating: Cut each licorice piece into 2 inch length; set aside.
  11. Place 1 Oreo cookie on top of each cupcake; insert 4 licorice pieces into frosting on each side of cookie for the spider legs.
  12. Dab frosting on top of Oreo to attach 2 M & M's for spider eyes.
