Chili
- 2 lbs lean ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jalapeno, seeded and finely chopped
- 1 8oz can tomato sauce
- 2 tomato cans water
- 1 tomato can beer
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground blackpepper
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 2 heaped teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons cornflour
- Brown the meat in a large pan.
- Add all the other ingredients except the cornflour.
- Cover the pan, bring to the boil, then simmer for an hour and a half.
- Make a thin paste by adding water to the cornflour.
- Add this to the chili and stir in well.
- Cover and simmer for a further half hour.
