Chili
 
 
Ingredients
  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jalapeno, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 8oz can tomato sauce
  • 2 tomato cans water
  • 1 tomato can beer
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground blackpepper
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 2 heaped teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons cornflour
Instructions
  1. Brown the meat in a large pan.
  2. Add all the other ingredients except the cornflour.
  3. Cover the pan, bring to the boil, then simmer for an hour and a half.
  4. Make a thin paste by adding water to the cornflour.
  5. Add this to the chili and stir in well.
  6. Cover and simmer for a further half hour.
