Gifts for Guitar players

Guitarists love accessories and so it’s very easy to buy a gift for a guitar player. Believe me they are delighted when they receive specialist gifts because most of the things they use wear out and need to be replaced.

Make sure you check what style of guitar is played, as they need different accessories. It’s not complicated, it will be electric, steel stringed acoustic, or a nylon stringed classical guitar.

Here are some great ideas:

These will delight any guitarist and they are under $15

Under $50

These are a little more expensive, but represent excellent value for money. The sound enhancer is an amazing thing –it will make any cheaper acoustic guitar sound a lot better. You simply insert it in the sound hole and it will give you a richer, fuller sound. No need to buy a new guitar after all! The Multimedia iRig is a great gadget –it lets you play your guitar wherever you are at any time because it turns your iphone or iOS device into a mobile Guitar and Bass Sound Studio. A professional acoustic/electric guitar tuner and capo – check your tuning while using a capo. Brilliant! This is a fantastic present –believe me a guitarist can never have too many picks –they seem to vanish into thin air! This punch works with things like old credit cards and plastic. It comes with lots of ideas about what materials to use.

Going a bit higher up the price range –these fantastic ideas cost up to $50:

The IK ipad music stand adaptor is an excellent idea! Many musicians play from their iPads these days, and they all struggle to keep them safe when they have to balance them on ordinary music stands. You will be loved forever if you buy this for a guitarist who performs onstage. The stool with guitar stand attached is also a really great thing for a guitar player who performs on stage. The super XXL Spider Capo is a fantastic capo because it lets you tune strings individually – essentially you will only ever need this capo. It is a high quality capo that works well on both acoustic and electric guitars. The guitar tool kit and organizer is also a lovely gift. It will help your guitarist keep everything tidy and in one place.

Now we’re getting into the real treats – up to $100 will get you some really great gifts.

The Ditto Looper makes it very easy to record chords and then sing over them. It’s a great device to use at home when you’re working on a song and want to accompany yourself. The E-bow is a fantastic addition to your guitar because it produces a variety of sounds that are not usually playable on an electric guitar like violin strings, horns, and woodwind. It is for both electric and acoustic guitars. Queen used it so did Pink Floyd and U2 – so it can’t be bad! Great fun for a guitarist who has it all. All musicians should take extra care of their hearing. So good headphones are a great gift idea. These in ear headphones have a wonderful clear sound. Highly recommended. This strap is great because they will put your name on the leather. They are handcrafted. Every guitarist needs a good strap (apart from a classical guitarist that is) and these are really great!
