The Harrods Bear

Commemorate a special year with the Harrods Bear.

Harrods_bearHas this year been special for you? It may be that you were married or engaged, you may have had a baby or a grand-baby – or it might just have been a happy year that you want to commemorate, either for yourself or for a loved one.

If that’s the case, then you need to meet the little guy you see pictured on the right. Meet Benedict, the 2015 Harrods bear.

Harrods, the London store, has been creating its special annual bear for thirty years now. Benedict is the latest member to join the prestigious list.

He is remarkably cute in his cosy, knitted red cardigan, with the Harrods logo emblazoned across his chest. See too how his right sole is embroidered with the year. What a lovely memento of the year.

Of course, teddy bears are traditionally for young children and a 2015 bear would make a splendid gift for a new baby or small child. But I know plenty of adults who love teddy bears too and how lovely he would look decorating your shelves or sitting on your bed.

Of course, Harrods ship to the States, Canada, the Far East, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and just about everywhere in the world. You can find details at the website.

You might even be starting a new family tradition as new bears are issued annually. (Just imagine if you had a collection of all thirty that have been produced so far). Benedict is the sort of item that would become a family heirloom, don’t you think?

You can see more details about Benedict here,or see the full range of the remarkably reasonably priced Harrods bears here. See more photographs of a few of the current range of Harrods bears below.
