Heavenly Hash – A Cool Treat
Heavenly Hash is a versatile recipe. Use it as a side dish, or as a light dessert. Either way, it’s “heavenly.”
I look for recipes in the summer that don’t take a lot of labor or heat to prepare. I also look for light foods, things that don’t sit too heavily in my stomach. Eating heavy things seems to make it harder to have a cool body temperature. In addition, my appetite seems to lean toward cold things and salads. But this salad became one of my favorites when I had it at my sister’s house, because it’s versatile. Use it as a side dish, or as a dessert, either way it’s cool, creamy and tasty.
Serves: 6 - 8
- 1 can pineapple chunks
- 1 can Mandarin oranges
- 1 16-ounce sour cream
- ½ package miniature marshmallows
- 8 oz. Cool Whip
- Mix all ingredients together and refrigerate.
- Serve cold.
