February 4th is officially designated as Homemade Soup Day. What a wonderful holiday to celebrate, at least here in the U.S. where it’s COLD almost everywhere and definitely perfect soup weather.

Whether you go all out with a totally made-from-scratch homemade soup or if you cheat just a little by embellishing a can of store-bought soup (I call that a “homemade up” recipe), it’s easy to put together a delicious pot of steamy-hot goodness in no time.
