Time to Bake Cookies!

It’s National Bake Cookies Day

I just noticed that today, December 18th, is Bake Cookies Day. I’m not sure where this is celebrated, but in my kitchen, or yours, would be a very good place to start.

Here are some ideas to get you baking. Or, in some cases, not baking. Follow the links:

Cookies from Cake Mix

Christmas Cookies from Cake Mix

If you’re like me, you’re all about “easy” when it comes to baking cookies. That’s why this is one of my very favorite cookie recipes. Start with a cake mix in the flavor of your choice, add stir-ins before you bake or frosting after. You’ll have a batch ready to eat in mere minutes.

Loaded Pumpkin Oatmeal Cookies

Traditionally served from Halloween on through the autumn season, this recipe is chock full of goodness and the flavor of fall. It’s okay to bake them during the winter, spring, or summer months, too. I know my kids wouldn’t turn them down!

Kids’ Favorite Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Which is your favorite cookie, chocolate chip or oatmeal? Never mind, just bake these. They’re full of both chocolate chips and oatmeal and they’re absolutely delicious.

No-Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

I have it on good authority that Santa’s favorite cookie is this one, made on top of the stove. So don’t bake these today for yourself then don’t bake them again on Christmas Eve and set out a plateful that night for the jolly old elf himself.

Peanut Butter No Bake Cookies

There are those in this world who prefer peanut butter to chocolate. If you know someone like that, try this no-bake recipe, the peanut butter version.

Which cookie will you bake (or not bake) to celebrate this special day? Why not leave a comment to let us know?
