For Your Next Charcuterie Board

When we first heard of the Carnivore Club, we had to know more about it.   Sure, carnivore is related to meat, but a club?  It didn’t take us long until we had to sample!  We found a high quality product, finely crafted, artisan meats, very unique and flavorful.

For fine dining, a cocktail party, wine tasting—any time really—you will want to add this to your shopping list, your planning list and to your gift list.

We were amazed and delighted at the presentation and the choices included for the price.  Right now that is just $55.00 a month.  You can try a month (as of mid-2016) to see what you think.  You will use the meats in so many different ways, for so many meals, unless you decide to use it for appetizers at a party.  You will find large servings there.

Imagine putting together an antipasto appetizer…Or include several slices or diced chunks in an antipasto salad…Mix some into eggs, saute it with potatoes or other veggies. There are still so many ways I want to try it.

Great Gift Idea

The holidays are coming quickly—how fast the year has passed.  What a wonderful hostess gift to bring to a get together as a one time order.  Or, for the special ones you buy for consider a monthly subscription for a few months or the year.

Wouldn’t that be a tasty way of learning to discern specialty meats?  After comparing several months, you’ll know so much about the meats.

The Monthly Club

The Carnivore Club offers a monthly sampler package of unique, specialty meat products.  Ours included a selection of pepperoni, salami, pancetta, and chorizo.

Some months they might include bacons, jerky, smoked beef, pancetta…Lovely and delicious artisanal foods created by small family owned companies.

To say it included salami is surely oversimplified.  Hot Sopressata and Finnochio Reserva are the actual names.

Hot Sopressata

“Fearlessly” spicy soppressata served with cheese, including a icy specialty ale or a chilled glass of white wine…Makes a delicious appetizer.

Finnochio Reserva

The Finnochio Reserva includes fennel as its main flavor—delicious.  Richly tasty, it also is perfect for a charcuterie.

The packaging for this one is unique even, a honeycomb casing that looks amazing and slices beautifully.

Chorizo Seca

Chorizo Seca is a dried spicy chorizo with a mild vinegar flavor.  While it is a taste sensation served as a charcuterie, you must try it added to hash browns or an egg dish, scrambled or baked.  A delightful taste addition to your breakfast.

Pepperoni

The Pepperoni featured at Parma Sausage has a smoky flavor that is irresistible. While you may think of it as a topping for pizza—and it could it for a specialty pizza—you will enjoy sampling this one sans crust.  Paired with the other samples in our Carnivore box, it makes a wonderful antipasto.

Pancetta

Last but not least, Pancetta.  So many ideas for eating this one.  As a dried cured rolled bacon, you can imagine how tasty it would be crisped up, served with pasta, or simply bread.

Dice it, slice it thinly, adding it to most any  dish—sauces, pastas, soups and salads.  Again, this is so tasty you might just want to keep it for yourself.

Check out the website for the Carnivore Club.  You will be glad you did.  Such a unique way to try a variety of new, artisan flavors.

We were provided with a sampler from Carnivore Club for an honest review.  It was definitely our pleasure.  Do sign up. You will be glad you did!
