WAC Organization: For A Good Cause

The Women’s Army Corps is now only a footnote in history.

But there was a time when it brought women together from all over the country, from all races and creeds, from which was created an efficient, working team.

It took lots of organization on the part of those whose duty it was to teach us the things we needed to know to become proud WACs. It took lots of organization on our part too, to live up to this new role.

This is part of my experience while serving during the era of the Vietnam War.

  1. First, I agree with Susan. Thank you for your service Nancy! Second, I loved the article. How interesting (and terrifying) to have to clean that thoroughly every day! As you said, you think you do a good job before you see what they expect! I wonder how it affected you after the service. Does your bed still bounce a quarter? So glad you shared this.
