Honoring Our Children’s Artwork
Looking for a gift idea that will please the entire family year round? Our children create masterpieces at all ages.
Whether at home or at school, with crayons, markers, fingers or brushes, there are many treasures that they bring to us to share. I remember the days when our fridge was covered with a variety of designs in as many mediums.
It was always hard to put them away. Should we keep them all, store them, or what? These wonderful storage frames are a perfect solution.
The Collection
We know how the artwork accumulates. Children are so pleased to bring it to share with us. Between drawing, painting, and writing, you probably have many that you don’t want to part with. So don’t!
This set offers a wonderful solution. The frames come in three different sizes, including 8 1/2 x 11, 9 x 12, and 12 x 18 inches. Even better, each frame holds up to 50 sheets, so you can store a bunch in one neat, clean space, and change them out as often as you would like.
The very best part is how good it will make your children feel to know you would display their artwork on the wall for everyone to see. The pleasure and the pride of that is so good for your child, confidence building and endearing, knowing it shows your love as well.
You can hang them together in a lovely grouping, or divide them to various rooms or even the office where you work. It’s a great way to keep you favorites, and show them off besides.
I can see so many ways these frames can be used. Buy a single frame for each child. That way you can display each together. Or if you get a set like the one above, you can have a grouping for each.
Gifts for Grands Too
Don’t forget the grandparents either. They have the same problem. Most love to display the work of their grandchildren, but don’t quite know what to do with all of them. It’s a great way to keep the drawings collected in one place, and it will protect them from damage as well.
A Variety of sizes
The frames are available is various sizes, so depending on the paper size your child usually uses, you can pick just the right one. Schools often provide larger sheets, so it that is where most will come from you will probably want the larger size.
Still, often printer paper in the usual 81/2 x 11 is what is handy. It works very well too, but you might need a smaller frame for those.
The Lil’ DaVinci 12×18 Single Frame
If you want a single frame that will hold larger art, or one the same size for each child, this 12×18 frame is a good choice. Again, it holds up to 50 drawings, looks attractive and would please the entire family. What a great gift idea.
At the end of a school year or when the frame gets full, you can decide if you will save them all, give some away to the grandparents, aunts and uncles, or store them elsewhere to make room for fresh ones. Of course, you can just buy another frame too, and start again.
You can find portfolios to hold more, or storage boxes as well, but I hope you won’t hide them all away. Just think of the light in your child’s eye when you first hang one of these darling frames on your wall.
Isn’t it a handy idea? And it’s a wonderful gift any time of year. Mother’s Day? Christmas? Valentine’s? It will even be fun to go through the older drawings as the collection grows. Several are going on my gift lists this year for parents of young children.
