April and May are filled with so many new titles from favorite authors! What fun it would be if every month would be so well represented. Some wonderful authors are on the list with their latest–many today on April 7th. Several continue their existing series, some perhaps are beginning new ones. I thought I would share a few here on Jaquo from the more extensive list on Mystery Suspense Reviews.
The Buried
Starting with the first of this month, Brett Battles released a new novel featuring Jonathan Quinn, the Cleaner. The title of the newest one–the 9th in the series– is The Buried.
I’ve gotten attached to this particular character along with his associates. Every book I’ve read so far in the series has been well written and very entertaining.
Which means this one automatically goes in my cart. It’s a well done, exciting series, with interesting angles in each book.
One Mile Under
Today, April 7th, there are several new releases, including One Mile Under, by Andrew Gross. It’s another Ty Hauck thriller. Mr. Gross has co-authored several books with James Patterson, including several of the Women’s Murder Club series.
This time Ty takes on a giant energy company to help the daughter of a good friend. It sounds like a great suspenseful read.
Let’s move forward to April 14th. It is interesting to me that they all publish in seven day intervals.
The Liar
For April 14th, we have two bestselling authors to mention. The first is Nora Roberts with a new romantic suspense novel, The Liar. Ever since Chasing Fire, I have read Ms. Roberts’ stand alone books.
They are appealing with very well written dialogue and a terrific blend of mystery and a romantic relationship.
This time around a woman loses her husband, then learns he was not who she thought he was. She heads back to her hometown only to find the dangers her husband caused follow her.
Losing Faith
The next is the third novel from author—and practicing attorney- Adam Mitzner. Losing Faith is sure to be another high tension suspense, in and out of a courtroom.
An attorney and a judge have a brief secret affair. At least he thought it was secret. Until an accused terrorist wants him to defend him and he has no choice but to agree. Then the judge is murdered.
Mr Mitzner’s first two novels were both bestsellers. He does a superb job of leading us down one path, only to surprise us halfway there. Very well done twists and turns. Already compared to John Grisham and Scott Turow, you know his books will be exciting dramas.
Many More This Month
There are so many others, including authors John Sandford, David Baldacci, and Greg Iles. For the complete list with release dates and links, check out the article on Mystery Suspense Reviews.
The next few months will provide so much delightful, exciting reading material, I can’t wait! Watch for May’s list at the end of April. Lots more favorites will be coming soon.

Thanks so much for sharing these recommendations. You’ve bumped up my reading list nicely for May.
I almost exclusively read mysteries and thrillers. There have been some really good ones so far this year but my favorite by far has been The Art Broker by Brian Hamm. http://www.brianhamm.com
An art dealer in Las Vegas that gets himself caught up in the dirty criminal underworld after trying to rescue a troubled teenager. A chance encounter that sets off a rollercoaster of twisted events that never fail to surprise You. I was totally hooked on this book from page 1 and couldn’t put it down. I almost went cover to cover in one sitting and I usually take my time over books. Really great new book from a very promising author.
