Tuna Melt Calzone

- Dough
- ½ cup water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1½ cup bread flour
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon sugar
- 1¼ teaspoon fast acting yeast
- Calzone
- 1 can or 1 cup tuna in water, thoroughly drained
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- ½ to ⅔ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Place all dough ingredients in bread machine pan in order recommended by manufacturer.
- Set on the dough cycle.
- When done, remove with lightly floured hands.
- Using a little extra flour as needed for handling, knead 5 minutes.
- Cover and allow to rest for 10 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Grease cookie sheet or use parchment paper to line pan.
- Mix drained tuna with mayo and ½ of the cheese.
- Flatten and shape dough into a circle about 13 inches in diameter.
- Cut in half.
- Divide tuna mixture onto one half of each piece.
- Top with remaining cheese.
- Fold the top over the tuna mixture, pinching the edges until firmly secured.
- Place on cookie sheet.
- Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until browned.
- Note: Prep time does not include time for dough. That takes around 2 hours.
