Family Adventure Holidays are Best!

All inclusive family adventure holidays are probably the most exciting style of holiday you can choose.

There’s nothing like experiencing the world through the eyes of a child who is seeing a special place for the first time.

I remember when I was in Rome with my 12 year old son – it was pouring with rain, so much so that we were forced to wear baby blue plastic ponchos, along with shorts and crocs. We looked very funny absolutely drenched! Undeterred, we continued looking for the Trevi Fountain, which is not easy to find because it is in a tiny piazza hidden in the middle of lots of allies and side streets.

We eventually turned a corner, and suddenly my son pointed ahead saying, ‘ wow look at that – it’s so gorgeous – that must be it!’ He was stunned by it’s beauty and size and we sat looking at this magnificent fountain for a very long time, even though it was raining. We also had a similar experience when he first saw the coliseum!family adventures

It was just like seeing these wonderful things for the first time all over again. Parents will relate to what I’m saying.

But it is also true that family holidays have to be planned very carefully, especially if you are going to a place that is different to what your children are used to. Here’s an article I wrote about going on holiday with a family, which has lots of tips and advice.

Planning perfect family holidays is where adventure holiday companies come into their own.

I would recommend G Adventures if you are thinking of going somewhere exotic, because they are both tried and tested companies with a great deal of experience dealing with families and their needs. Click on the links to be taken to their wonderfully inspirational sites.

If you are thinking of taking your family to an activity holiday in the UK, then look into the company called Imaginative Travel. They specialize in providing really affordable all-inclusive family holidays in wonderful places all over the UK. Click on the link for more information.

This is a book I highly recommend if you would like to be adventurous from home. No money necessary just the willingness to do something different and have a go. There are some great outdoor adventures in this book that you can have with your children even on a school night!!
