Halloween decor

Have you started decorating for Halloween?  It isn’t too late to add some unique, adorable, or scary decorations to brighten up your house for the occasion.  Decorations that you will have year after year to bring out for parties or family fun.

It is getting closer…All Hallows’ Eve is drawing near.   Whether you are planning a party or simply decorating for fun and scares, you will find some unique and clever ideas here for inside and out.

You have so many options.  Choose a theme.  Pumpkins and black cats?  Go for that pumpkin color.  Dishes, snack servers, bowls for chips and dip.

If you are setting your table for a sit down meal or a party buffet, you will appreciate the variety you can find here. Beautiful tableware that can surely be used throughout the fall season and even year round.  Table runners, unique pumpkins, spooky candles will light your dining or buffet table.

Throw pillows with Halloween designs, from spider webs to BOO, can be tossed on couches inside, chairs and swings outside.  They are such an easy way to add a bright spot to any room, and easy to clean and store after the big day has passed.

Prefer something a big scarier than pumpkins?  How about a zombie or a mummy theme?

Zombies?

The+Zombie+of+Montclaire+Moors+StatueLet’s start outside with this scary looking zombie digging himself out of the ground.  Don’t you think he would startle a few of your visitors?  Or set a few lit decorations across your yard.  Inflatables, ghosts on stakes, or free standing,  you will find some scary and cute at the same time.

For a festive look, hang little pumpkins shaped solar lights across your porch to cast a dim light  at night. That should keep the witches in line.

They will draw the trick or treaters to your door, whether goblin, princess, astronaut, or ghost. At a party, they add both light and cheerfulness.

If you style tends to black, you will have many options as well, from witches to black cats, to skulls and skeletons. Cover your front door with a full sized patter, add pillows that say boo.  You can even get a shower curtains to carry the mood throughout your home.

Halloween fans love to decorate.  So whether you are planning the party or attending and need a hostess gift, you will be delighted with the selection you can find.  Just looking at the ideas puts me in the mood.  Next stop for me will be to plan the food for the party.  Happy Halloween!
