A Refreshing Slush with An Adult Taste

Wine Adds a Lovely Taste

With the holidays approaching rapidly, entertaining moves into overdrive. Many of us will be hosting parties, dinners, gift exchanges, or simply enjoying some time with our families. Spice up your party with a cocktail like this one. It’s easy, pretty, and so flavorful. Something cold can taste so refreshing while sitting in front of the fireplace. Plus it is so easy to make these alcohol free for the children and those who don’t drink.

On a hot summer day, when you are ready for a cocktail, try serving this Cabernet Slush to your guests. It’s refreshing as any slush would be, but with your favorite wine added, it’s a lovely adult taste that will make you smile.

I’ve tried them with and without the fruit. Either way is yummy. The photo on the left is plain, the one on the right contains a blend of strawberries, raspberries and blueberries. I whipped mine up with my favorite Ninja Master Prep Professional Blender . It took just over a minute with it! If you read my review, you’ll know how much I love this blender.

Flavor of Your Choice

You can choose any fruit you would like, as well as any wine. Doesn’t a frozen Mimosa sound good? Though I would substitute white wine for the champagne. Think of your favorite juice. Juice is easy to freeze for such a cooling drink.

Quantities can vary too. If you prefer it stronger, add more wine, though you may need to refreeze for thirty minutes to an hour to allow it time to become thicker.

It’s light, sweet, and intoxicating. If you want to make some for the kids, don’t forget to omit the wine. It tastes great that way too!

Orange Juice with champagne or white wine?  A taste sensation!

My Ninja Master Prep Professional

This appliance is the best investment I made last year. I love this thing. You can read my review above, including many photos to show why I love the Ninja. I probably use the chopping part more than anything. It works in seconds, literally, and so effectively! It has worked on every single thing I’ve tried so far, including blending frozen butter with flour for scones. The success I’ve had with it makes me want to try more and more things in it. Coffee grinding, crushed ice, pancake batter, you name it. Easy cleaning too. Just love it!
