Garden Veggie Hot Dogs

Lettuce On A Hot-Dog.

So have you ever had lettuce on your veggie hot-dogs before? Believe it or not, I’ve never had before until now.

I opened up a can of vegetarian Big Franks. I put them in a fry pan and browned them up a bit. Normally these are just warmed up in a sauce pan. I had some fresh garden lettuce that I had in my refrigerator from a friend and thought why not, I’d give it a try. I chopped it up and topped it on my hot dog along with relish, onions and ketchup. I never do mustard cause I don’t like it but for those who do; go right ahead. The glory of hot dogs is that you can top them with any favorite toppings you love.

After I topped my hot-dog I took a bite and to my surprise it was very tasty with the lettuce on it! I decided that this would be a good treat for summer time. Along with that, a fresh fruit salad that I make goes perfectly with it. What a nice simple summer meal. You can use three different vegetarian hot-dogs for this. They are Big Franks, Super-Links and Vega-Links.
